The innovative coding school in Warsaw hosted an inspiring guest session that brought together students and industry professionals for a deep dive into modern game development.

 


Insights from CD Projekt RED: game design and production


Jan Rosner, VP of Business Development, and Sebastian Kalemba, VP and Game Director, shared a behind-the-scenes perspective on how two iconic video games from CD Projekt RED – The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 – are designed, built, and brought to life. Given the topic, it’s no surprise the auditorium at 42 Warsaw was filled to capacity. Their talk at 42 Warsaw was so much more than just a presentation! 


Our students had a rare opportunity to learn directly from “CDPR masters” and ask questions they wouldn’t normally get the chance to ask in any other setting. Moments like this make the link between education and real-world practice feel very tangible.

 

For this reason, it was a strong reminder of why 42 Warsaw stands out as a modern coding school in Warsaw: by bringing the industry directly into the learning experience.


Core skills that shape the industry


Additionally, beyond the stories from production and design, the speakers highlighted five timeless skills that act as a compass in their everyday work:

  • Adaptability
  • Accountability
  • Critical thinking & problem solving
  • Communication & collaboration
  • Resilience

Interestingly, these competencies are not only essential in the game development industry, but also strongly aligned with the fundamentals of the 42 Warsaw learning model. Instead of traditional lectures, students learn through hands-on experience, peer collaboration, and exposure to real-world industry perspectives.

Join us for the Python Discovery Piscine! This 5-day introduction to Python programming will help you discover your potential for coding and new career paths! 

 

Discovery Piscine is free, intensive, and takes place in a friendly, international environment. It’s a perfect chance to see if coding is right for you, no matter your prior experience.

 
What, when, where?

When: November 17-21, 2025, every day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM 

Where: 42 Warsaw campus, al. Solidarności 171B (SPARK office building)

 

To participate, you must be at least 18 years old.

Applications are open until November 12th – APPLY HERE.

 

Everyone is welcome, especially those who are:

  • curious about programming but have never tried it
  • experienced in coding but want to develop further
  • eager to master the basics of Python
  • interested in the peer-to-peer model and want to try it
  • dissatisfied with too much theory in traditional universities
  • looking for practical learning to find a job more easily
  • seeking inspiration to take action in a new field
  • blooming in a collaborative learning environment

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

To participate, you must be at least 18 years old.Remote or hybrid participation is not possible.The Discovery Piscine will be in English (conversational level required).Prior coding experience is not required, nor are certificates or diplomas.

At 42 Warsaw, we use peer-to-peer and project-based educational method. We don’t have teachers, classes, workshops. You will learn everything through collaboration and solving practical projects on Python basics.
The Discovery Piscine is NOT part of the recruitment process for 42 Warsaw. However, it’s a great opportunity to experience the peer-to-peer learning model we use at 42 and see if coding is for you. If you want to apply right away, click here.
